Delivery & Pickup

This policy explains how delivery and pickup works at Fancydresscostume.in. We dispatch from our store at C-22, Second Floor, Surya Nagar, Ghaziabad and serve customers in three tiers: Delhi NCR (rentals + retail with our own team and courier partners), pan-India retail (buy-only, shipped via DTDC, Blue Dart, or India Post), and international (buy-only, on request, quote shared on WhatsApp). As we open additional stores in future, your delivery zone and pricing will be calculated from the store assigned to your booking, not necessarily from C-22.

1. Coverage area

We serve three tiers, each with different rules and fulfilment partners:

• Delhi NCR (rentals + retail) — Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad. Delivered by our own team (Zone 1) or Porter (Zone 2). Rental kits are pickup-and-drop; retail is one-way delivery.
• Pan-India (retail / buy only) — anywhere in India. Shipped via DTDC, Blue Dart, or India Post depending on your PIN code. Typical delivery 3–7 working days. Rentals are NCR-only — we don't rent costumes outside NCR because the kit needs to come back to us within the rental window.
• International (retail / buy only) — on request. We ship via India Post International or DHL on a per-order quote. WhatsApp us your country and PIN code; we share the shipping quote and delivery estimate before you confirm the order.

Within Delhi NCR, delivery is split into two zones based on distance from your dispatch store, with different pricing and service levels for each. Distance is calculated from the store handling your booking — currently C-22 Surya Nagar, and from your chosen store as we add new locations.

2. Pickup from our store (free)

You can pick up your costume directly from our store at C-22, Second Floor, Surya Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Walk-ins are welcome during shop hours — no appointment needed, no pickup fee. This is the simplest and cheapest option, and the only way to access in-person sizing and try-on at no cost.

For your convenience, you can also call or WhatsApp us before visiting to confirm the costume is ready.

3. Zone 1 — Pricing for individual rentals

The free-delivery threshold is based on the retail price of the costume, not the rental fee.

4. Zone 1 — Pricing for individual retail (buy) orders

Retail purchases don't require pickup, so you only pay one-way delivery (or zero if your order qualifies for free delivery).

5. Zone 1 — Premium service inclusions

Within 5 km of your dispatch store, you have access to extra services that aren't available farther out:

• Size options on request — subject to availability, our team can bring multiple sizes for you to try at the time of delivery, helping you pick the best fit
• Photo previews on WhatsApp — request photos of available sizes/colours before your costume is dispatched
• Faster turnaround — same-day delivery often possible if ordered before noon
• Easier returns — pickup coordinated by our own team

6. Zone 2 — How pricing is calculated

For destinations beyond 5 km from your dispatch store, we book delivery through Porter — a trusted Indian last-mile logistics partner. Because Porter's pricing depends on actual distance, vehicle type, and live conditions, your delivery cost is calculated per booking using this formula:

The Porter fare is passed through to you at cost — we don't mark it up. The flat ₹20 service fee covers our coordination, packaging, and dispatch handling. GST is applied only to the service fee component (Porter's fare already includes its own GST).

1. You confirm your costume choice via WhatsApp (or website inquiry)
2. We share photos of available costumes and finalize the size with you. Note: size options at delivery are not available beyond 5 km — what you confirm is what we ship
3. We get a Porter quote based on your delivery address
4. We share the total delivery cost (Porter fare + ₹20 + 18% GST on the fee) with you for approval
5. Once you confirm, we book the Porter ride and dispatch your order
6. Porter charges appear on our invoice — you pay one combined bill, not separate Porter and FDC bills

9. Zone 2 — Free delivery thresholds do not apply

The ₹1,000 (rental) and ₹3,000 (retail) free-delivery thresholds apply only to Zone 1 (within 5 km). For Zone 2 deliveries, the Porter formula always applies regardless of order value, because the underlying logistics cost is incurred per shipment and cannot be absorbed into product pricing.

10. Zone 2 — Higher security deposit

For rental orders delivered to Zone 2 (beyond 5 km), the security deposit is 2× the standard amount. This compensates for the higher logistics risk on long-distance returns and the limited ability to recover items quickly.

The deposit remains fully refundable on return of the costume in good condition, per our Refund Policy. Cancellation fees, late-return charges, and damage assessments are not affected by zone — only the deposit changes.

11. Pan-India retail — pricing & timeline

The courier partner is selected automatically based on your PIN code's serviceability. Express options (Blue Dart 1–2 day) are available on request — WhatsApp us before placing the order for the additional shipping quote.

Tracking number is shared on WhatsApp within 24 hours of dispatch. Cash on Delivery is not available outside Delhi NCR — pan-India orders must be prepaid via UPI or bank transfer.

12. International shipping — how it works

1. WhatsApp +91 9871278984 with your country, full address, and the costume(s) you want.
2. We share a shipping quote within a few business hours — typically ₹1,500–₹4,500 to most countries depending on weight and destination.
3. Once you confirm and prepay (UPI / bank transfer / international wire), we dispatch within 2 working days.
4. Tracking number shared on WhatsApp the same day. Customs duties at destination are the buyer's responsibility — we don't pre-pay duties.

Typical international transit times: UAE / Singapore 5–7 days · UK / Europe 7–10 days · USA / Canada / Australia 10–14 days. Express courier (DHL) cuts these by ~50% and roughly doubles the price.

Rentals are not available internationally — only retail (buy) orders.

13. Schools, organizations, and bulk orders

Schools, organizations, and bulk orders use a separate delivery and pricing model that is not yet finalized. For these orders, delivery, pickup, and any associated fees are arranged in writing at the time of order based on order size, location, timing, and event requirements. 14. Delivery timeline

• Same day: Often possible in Zone 1 if ordered before noon and the costume is in stock
• Next day: Standard turnaround for most orders in both zones
• 2–3 days: For orders requiring preparation, multiple costumes, or distant Zone 2 destinations

Specific delivery time is confirmed via WhatsApp before dispatch. We'll always communicate clearly if there's a delay.

15. Delivery attempts and rescheduling

If you are not available at the address during the agreed delivery window, our team (Zone 1) or Porter (Zone 2) will contact you on WhatsApp to reschedule. There is no charge for the first reschedule. Repeated failed delivery attempts may incur a small redelivery fee, which we will communicate to you before charging. For Zone 2, the redelivery fee includes a fresh Porter charge per the same formula.

16. Pickup of returns (rentals)

For rental returns, our team or Porter will coordinate a pickup window with you via WhatsApp. The first pickup attempt is scheduled within 24–28 hours after delivery. You may also choose to return the costume to our store directly (free of charge for both zones) — see our Refund Policy for full late-return rules.

17. Damage during transit

If a costume arrives damaged or with missing items, please contact us immediately (within 2 hours of receipt) with photos. We'll arrange replacement or full refund as applicable. Once you accept the costume in good condition, normal rental terms apply. Risk of loss during transit is governed by our Terms & Conditions.

18. Courier responsibility — delays and failure to deliver

Once an order is handed to the courier and a tracking number is issued:

• Transit time estimates published on this page are the courier's stated SLA, not a guarantee from us. Weather, strikes, regional disruptions, government holidays, and the courier's internal operations can extend delivery beyond the estimated window.
• Delay in delivery by the courier is not Fancydresscostume.in's liability. Refunds, compensation, or claims for late-arrival are governed by the courier's own service guarantee — typically only the shipping fee, and only when the courier formally accepts a delay claim.
• Failure to deliver by the courier (lost parcel, address-not-found returns, refused-by-recipient returns) is investigated jointly. We will help you raise the claim with the courier and, where the courier confirms the parcel is lost in transit, we will re-ship or refund per your preference. We do not refund proactively before the courier closes the claim.
• Time-sensitive events (Janmashtami, school annual day, fancy dress competitions): if you have a hard deadline, we strongly recommend choosing express shipping AND placing the order at least 2 working days before the event, so any courier hiccup has slack. We can advise on express options on WhatsApp before checkout.
• This limitation does not apply to your cancellation rights before dispatch, or to defective / damaged goods, both of which are covered under our Refund Policy.

19. Online payments — coming soon

Online payment integration via Razorpay is being set up. Until it goes live, payments for delivered orders are collected on delivery (cash or UPI) or arranged in advance via WhatsApp. Once online payments are active, you'll be able to pay during checkout on our website.

20. Future stores and zone calculation

As we expand and open additional stores in Delhi NCR and beyond, your delivery zone will be calculated from the dispatch store assigned to your booking — not always from C-22 Surya Nagar. When you place an order, we'll confirm which store is fulfilling it, and the zone (and pricing) will follow from there. For multi-store customers, this often means shorter distances and lower delivery costs over time.
