This policy explains how delivery and pickup works at Fancydresscostume.in. We dispatch from our store at C-22, Second Floor, Surya Nagar, Ghaziabad and serve customers in three tiers: Delhi NCR (rentals + retail with our own team and courier partners), pan-India retail (buy-only, shipped via DTDC, Blue Dart, or India Post), and international (buy-only, on request, quote shared on WhatsApp). As we open additional stores in future, your delivery zone and pricing will be calculated from the store assigned to your booking, not necessarily from C-22.
Note on pricing
All prices stated in this policy are exclusive of GST and other applicable taxes. Taxes are added at the time of billing as per Indian law.
We serve three tiers, each with different rules and fulfilment partners:
Within Delhi NCR, delivery is split into two zones based on distance from your dispatch store, with different pricing and service levels for each. Distance is calculated from the store handling your booking — currently C-22 Surya Nagar, and from your chosen store as we add new locations.
You can pick up your costume directly from our store at C-22, Second Floor, Surya Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Walk-ins are welcome during shop hours — no appointment needed, no pickup fee. This is the simplest and cheapest option, and the only way to access in-person sizing and try-on at no cost.
For your convenience, you can also call or WhatsApp us before visiting to confirm the costume is ready.
Premium service. Delivered by our own team. Includes size options, photo sharing on WhatsApp, free delivery thresholds, and standard security deposit.

The free-delivery threshold is based on the retail price of the costume, not the rental fee.

Retail purchases don't require pickup, so you only pay one-way delivery (or zero if your order qualifies for free delivery).
Within 5 km of your dispatch store, you have access to extra services that aren't available farther out:
Standard service. Delivered via Porter (third-party logistics partner). Variable pricing based on actual distance. No size options. Higher security deposit.
For destinations beyond 5 km from your dispatch store, we book delivery through Porter — a trusted Indian last-mile logistics partner. Because Porter's pricing depends on actual distance, vehicle type, and live conditions, your delivery cost is calculated per booking using this formula:

= Porter's quoted fare (already includes GST)
+ ₹20 service fee
+ 18% GST on the ₹20 service fee
The Porter fare is passed through to you at cost — we don't mark it up. The flat ₹20 service fee covers our coordination, packaging, and dispatch handling. GST is applied only to the service fee component (Porter's fare already includes its own GST).

This same calculation applies for the return pickup if applicable. Pickup is a separate Porter booking and follows the same formula.
The ₹1,000 (rental) and ₹3,000 (retail) free-delivery thresholds apply only to Zone 1 (within 5 km). For Zone 2 deliveries, the Porter formula always applies regardless of order value, because the underlying logistics cost is incurred per shipment and cannot be absorbed into product pricing.
For rental orders delivered to Zone 2 (beyond 5 km), the security deposit is 2× the standard amount. This compensates for the higher logistics risk on long-distance returns and the limited ability to recover items quickly.

The deposit remains fully refundable on return of the costume in good condition, per our Refund Policy. Cancellation fees, late-return charges, and damage assessments are not affected by zone — only the deposit changes.
Buy any costume on the site and have it shipped to your home address anywhere in India. Shipped via DTDC, Blue Dart, Delhivery, or India Post depending on your PIN code. Rentals are NCR-only — the kit must come back to us within the rental window.
⏱ Choosing express? Keep enough time in hand.
Express shipping is the courier's stated SLA, not a guarantee from us. Weather, regional disruptions, courier operational delays, and government holidays can extend even express deliveries. For school events, festivals (Janmashtami, Independence Day, Republic Day, Diwali), fancy dress competitions, and any other hard-deadline use, please book your costume at least 2 working days before the event. If your deadline is tight, WhatsApp us first on +91 9871278984 — we'll confirm whether express can realistically make it before you place the order.

The courier partner is selected automatically based on your PIN code's serviceability. Express options (Blue Dart 1–2 day) are available on request — WhatsApp us before placing the order for the additional shipping quote.
Tracking number is shared on WhatsApp within 24 hours of dispatch. Cash on Delivery is not available outside Delhi NCR — pan-India orders must be prepaid via UPI or bank transfer.
Indian families abroad — UAE, Singapore, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and more — can buy FDC costumes for their kids. Shipped via India Post International or DHL based on your country and the costume weight. Pricing is per-quote because international shipping varies wildly by destination.
⏱ International — always keep extra time in hand.
International shipping involves customs clearance at the destination, which can add 2–7 unpredictable days on top of the courier's transit estimate. For festival or event-tied orders abroad, please book at least 3 weeks before your deadline. We will not be liable for customs holds, destination-country strikes, or any delay outside our dispatch — the carrier's terms apply once the parcel leaves India.
Typical international transit times: UAE / Singapore 5–7 days · UK / Europe 7–10 days · USA / Canada / Australia 10–14 days. Express courier (DHL) cuts these by ~50% and roughly doubles the price.
Rentals are not available internationally — only retail (buy) orders.
Schools, organizations, and bulk orders use a separate delivery and pricing model that is not yet finalized. For these orders, delivery, pickup, and any associated fees are arranged in writing at the time of order based on order size, location, timing, and event requirements. Specific delivery time is confirmed via WhatsApp before dispatch. We'll always communicate clearly if there's a delay.
If you are not available at the address during the agreed delivery window, our team (Zone 1) or Porter (Zone 2) will contact you on WhatsApp to reschedule. There is no charge for the first reschedule. Repeated failed delivery attempts may incur a small redelivery fee, which we will communicate to you before charging. For Zone 2, the redelivery fee includes a fresh Porter charge per the same formula.
For rental returns, our team or Porter will coordinate a pickup window with you via WhatsApp. The first pickup attempt is scheduled within 24–28 hours after delivery. You may also choose to return the costume to our store directly (free of charge for both zones) — see our Refund Policy for full late-return rules.
If a costume arrives damaged or with missing items, please contact us immediately (within 2 hours of receipt) with photos. We'll arrange replacement or full refund as applicable. Once you accept the costume in good condition, normal rental terms apply. Risk of loss during transit is governed by our Terms & Conditions.
Fancydresscostume.in dispatches orders on time. Actual transport is performed by our courier partners — DTDC, Blue Dart, India Post, Porter, and others. We are not a transport company.

Online payment integration via Razorpay is being set up. Until it goes live, payments for delivered orders are collected on delivery (cash or UPI) or arranged in advance via WhatsApp. Once online payments are active, you'll be able to pay during checkout on our website.
As we expand and open additional stores in Delhi NCR and beyond, your delivery zone will be calculated from the dispatch store assigned to your booking — not always from C-22 Surya Nagar. When you place an order, we'll confirm which store is fulfilling it, and the zone (and pricing) will follow from there. For multi-store customers, this often means shorter distances and lower delivery costs over time.
